![]() We can see that many of you are getting a few more kills per match with the bots and that more matches are being played with faster overall matchmaking times. By adding these conditions, we wanted to ensure that any player queueing for our modes Solo BH, Duo BR, or TDM would not have to wait too long to get into the game.Īccording to the survey results and the data after the October Update, we are happy that most of you now have a more enjoyable experience in Bloodhunt. Now, if there aren't enough players to start a match after reaching the time limit put in place, bots will fill up any empty slots, and a match will begin. We accomplished this by adding bots that backfill the servers. With the October Update, our primary goal was to deal with the long waiting times in a way that worked for the size of the current player base. We made several adjustments to mitigate this by rotating game modes, changing the player rating system, tweaking our matchmaking parameters, lobby sizes, adding TDM, and more. As a result, newcomers also faced highly skilled opponents in uneven matches, contributing to them leaving the game and not coming back, further compounding the issue. The root cause is the number of active players, which initially was at a high level but has since dropped to a point where it affects matchmaking. We have a lot of things to go through this time so let's get started!Īs you know, Bloodhunt has been facing challenges with long waiting times during matchmaking over the last few months. Bloodhunt has been in Early Access for just over a week now and we will continue to optimize systems, adapt to how cheaters are trying to abuse the game and develop Bloodhunt together with the community.Greetings, Kindred and welcome to our latest learnings article covering the recent survey. This is true for most anti-cheat software out there.Ĭheating in multiplayer games is sadly rampant today and many major online games use kernel level anti-cheat to protect the players form abuse. It does this because cheats often operate on that level too and so any counter-measure needs to be on the same level. Bloodhunt uses an anti-cheat that operates on the kernel level of your PC, at the core of the computers operating system. We only collect data related to Bloodhunt and we do not share that data with anyone unrelated to the operation of the game. This has also been confirmed by the community member who discovered the issue. The anti-cheat in the game is just that, an anti-cheat. They have both been fixed and patched since. These two problems were connected and classified as bugs by the development team. A few files were also left on the hard-drive after uninstall of the game. The rumor started after a community member discovered that the anti-cheat application was sometimes running for a short while after the game was shut down (for up to 90 seconds). ![]() The allegation of Bloodhunts anti-cheat software being spyware surfaced a few days ago - and it is simply false. By posting these types of unfounded reviews and discussions, you are potentially putting in jeopardy the work of more than 150 people who poured their sweat and blood into making Bloodhunt the game we are proud to call our first baby. Not only is it false, but it is also damaging to our first game, Bloodhunt, and our studio Sharkmob. This has been demonstrated in many articles already. We felt obligated to post this statement here as well for further visibility.
